What is a Mineral Owner?
A mineral owner holds the legal rights to the minerals beneath a parcel of land, such as limestone, silica, clay, or other natural resources, regardless of whether they also own the surface. These rights are typically recorded through a mineral deed or reserved in a property title.
If you receive royalties, own a recorded mineral deed, or hold verified subsurface rights, you may qualify to participate in the GMxVault documentation program.
- You inherited mineral rights from family and have documentation or county record proof.
- You currently receive royalty payments from a mining, quarry, or extraction lease.
- Your property deed specifies mineral ownership (even if you’ve never leased or developed it).
